With sales of 469,000 Kenny Chesney’s The Road & The Radio debuted at the top of the Country Albums chart and the Top 200 all formats chart. It became his fourth consecutive album to debut at the top of both charts, a first for any country act.

"Who You'd Be Today" (#2), "Living in Fast Forward" (#1), "Summertime" (#1), "You Save Me" (#3), and "Beer in Mexico" (#1) were all released as singles from the album. It has been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.

    Scotty McCreery picks up a gold album for Clear As Day. The album featured the singles "I Love You This Big" (#15) and "The Trouble With Girls" (#17).

    With the album, McCreery broke records as the first country act to debut their first studio album at number one, and at 18 years old, the youngest man to open at the top of the chart with their debut release.

    The album was certified platinum on January 6, 2012

     

    Chris Young interrupted his performance of “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song) at Rabb’s Steakhouse in Ruston, Louisiana, to have a male concert-goer thrown out for pushing a woman in the audience.
