Chris Janson is chasing those summertime feel-good vibes again with the release of his new song, "Fix a Drink."

Readers can hear "Fix a Drink" below; Janson co-wrote the song with Chris DuBois and Ashley Gorley. The singer tells Nash Country Daily that he "wanted to be a part of something, with my co-writers, that made people feel good."

“Everyone knows that I’m not an alcohol-drinker anymore, but what a lot of people don’t know is, I love the whole mixology subculture," Janson confesses. "I can fix a drink -- and my drink of choice is a cold can of Mountain Dew, but I can fix all kinds of drinks. I’ve done it for years.

"And then when the song idea for "Fix a Drink" came together, it felt like a no-brainer. It just works," he adds. "You can be drinking a Hi-C or a Jack and Coke, and it doesn’t matter. It’s a fun, feel-good song for the summer.”

Although Janson has given up drinking alcohol himself, that hasn't stopped him from churning out libation-themed tunes: "Power of Positive Drinkin'" is one of his previous singles.

"Fix a Drink" is the lead single from Janson's upcoming sophomore album, which he promises will be out no later than August. The song is available now on iTunes, but it won't hit country radio until May 22.

This summer, Janson will be out on the road with Sam HuntMaren Morris and Ryan Follese, as a special guest on Hunt's 15 in a 30 Tour.
