CMT has announced the talent for their latest installment of ‘CMT Crossroads,’ pairing former Eagles member Joe Walsh and ZZ Top member Billy Gibbons with a bevy of country stars for ‘CMT Crossroads: Joe Walsh & Friends,’ an overhauled set up for the popular cr0ss-genre music program. Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Sara Evans and Hunter Hayes will all perform during the star-studded episode.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be onboard for a ‘CMT Crossroads’ episode,” says Walsh (quote via CMT). “I’ve handpicked some old friends and some new friends, and we’re going to make sure it’s a special evening.”

Walsh first gained notoriety in the music world in the late ’60s as a member of the James Gang, but was later propelled to superstardom after joining the Eagles for their 1976 album, ‘Hotel California,’ which sold more than 16 million copies in the U.S.

The legendary rocker also embarked on a solo career in between his band gigs, scoring many hits, including ‘Rocky Mountain Way.’ Walsh was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

“Nothing beats country music with a little rock ‘n’ roll sprinkled on top,” Walsh says. “We’re going to mix up a batch and see what happens. I got a real good feeling about it. Nashville, here we come!”

Walsh in now touring in promotion of new studio album, ‘Analog Man,’ which was released on June 5. The project is his first solo effort in 20 years. ‘CMT Crossroads: Joe Walsh & Friends’ will air on CMT on June 23.
