Who would have thought that a Pointer Sister's hit could make the crossover to country?

Well, it almost did in 1981, the same year that the Pointer Sisters charted with 'Slow Hand', it was covered by country artist Del Reeves.  It only reached #53 on the charts.  It took Conway Twitty to take it to the number one spot on this day just a year later.  From 1982, and staying atop the charts for two weeks (the last multi week #1 for Twitty), here's today's KLAW Classic, 'Slow Hand'.
