Daily Digital Download: Josh Turner ‘Lay Low’
While I was looking for music for my Daily Digital Download today, this new song by Josh Turner just jumped out at me. The very first line of the song is; "I wanna drive until my cell phone runs out of range and every bar is gone"
I thought "Wow! Can I relate to that!" and then he hits you with the chorus:
I wanna hear raindrops fallin’ down on an old tin roof
I wanna find a front porch rail and prop up my travelin’ boots
See your silhouette in that firelight
Feel your body lyin’ next to mine
Spend a few days together alone
And just lay low
Here is a link to the rest of the lyrics to the song.
Carrie Horton of Taste of Country said "With honest lyrics and a perfectly straightforward melody, ‘Lay Low’ touches on all the things that make fans love country music."
I say not only love country music but country living. Who doesn't love to hear rain falling on a tin roof and watching the sunset behind the Wichita Mountains! I think I've found a new favorite!
