Dan + Shay hit the 2019 Billboard Music Awards red carpet on Wednesday (May 1) looking mighty spiffy. The pair attended the carpet without their wives, but with dapper suits.

The duo were set to perform with Tori Kelly during the awards show. "This is our first time at the Billboard Awards and it's going to be amazing," Dan Smyers remarked in an interview before show day. "Taylor Swift is performing a new song. Panic! [at the Disco]'s here, BTS is here — they're like right in the front row when we'll be performing. During our rehearsals now I feel like I'm going to be kind of nervous now, there's so many famous people."

Prior to the red carpet, the duo tweeted asking for a photo with K-Pop superstars BTS, who are nominated up against the country pair for Top Duo/Group and are also nominated this year for Top Social Artist (which they've won for the past two years, breaking the record for the award) and will be performing with pop-star Halsey during the show.

The duo is nominated for the coveted Top Country Artist award and are up against Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown and Luke Combs. Mooney and Smyers are also up for Top Country Duo/Group and Top Country Album for their latest self-titled album. They're even nominated against each other for Top Country song — they're nominated for both "Speechless" and "Tequila." Brown's "Heaven," Combs' "She Got the Best of Me," and Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha's "Meant to Be" are up against their songs.
