This weekend the Lawton Farmers Market is going to the Dogs!  Yes, it's Dog Days at the Lawton Farmers Market, open now in their Summer location in the Cameron University Stadium Parking lot at the corner of Gore Boulevard and 38th Street.

There will be 'doggie' bags for the first 50 people who are accompanied by their pets, there will also be Dr. Holly Lunsford of Lawtonka Animal Chiropractic and Veterinary Hospital, who will be offering a full set of vaccines and a heartworm test for a special price of $48.

This event really focuses on your furry friends as many vendors will have specials geared to your dog.  Patriotic Pals Casual Photography will be doing pet portraits, and many others will have door prizes including Paws With Love, Dogtown Grooming, K-9 and Kitty 2 and Chazelles Spoiled Rott'n Barkery.  All entry tickets are free but to enter you must be accompained by your dog.

“We’re excited to be able to bring this event back to the Lawton community since we had to cancel last year due to Covid restrictions,” said spokesperson Cathy Field. “We want to thank Dr. Lunsford and her helpers for coming back every year to help us get dogs vaccinated throughout Lawton and the surrounding area. We’d also like to thank all of our donors for their generous donations. And remember, all dogs must be on a leash and under their owners’ control at all times.”

Lawton Farmers Market is building a permanent location in downtown Lawton, but for the Summer months they have moved outside at Cameron University.  Hours are from 8am-Noon this Saturday, May 22.
