Eddie Montgomery Has Filed for Bankruptcy Protection
Eddie Montgomery, the chubby one in Montgomery Gentry, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection.
This is mostly due to the failure of his Eddie Montgomery's Steakhouse in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, about 30 miles west of Lexington. It closed "abruptly" last May.
According to the "Lexington Herald-Leader", Eddie has $13.4 million in debts and most of it is related to the restaurant, which is being put up for sale this Friday. Eddie and his wife opened the Steakhouse back in 2009 and they divorced three years later.
His overpriced attorney said, Eddie's struggles in business and marriage brought him to this point. It is very common with individuals dealing with divorce and business closure to have to seek out bankruptcy relief.
