Frankie Ballard and his new wife, Christina Murphy, walked the red carpet at the 2017 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2). He kept things simple, wearing a charcoal grey suit, while she donned a bright-red jumpsuit adorned with gold stars.

Ballard and Murphy tied the knot on March 12 at Star Hill Ranch in Bee Cave, Texas. Ballard tells Taste of Country that the ceremony was about “our commitment and what it meant to us spiritually.”

“Honestly, the highlight for me was being able to stand up there and make those promises and feel that commitment all start to happen in front of those people," Ballard adds, "and it was a very moving and special family moment."

Murphy is a native Texan who spent 10 years living in Los Angeles, trying to make it as an actress; however, she now designs “reworked, one of a kind, bada– boots,” found through vintage sources. Her company is called Old Smokeys Boots, and it's a fitting industry for her: During her childhood, Murphy's parents owned shoe stores in Austin.

In January, Ballard released “You’ll Accomp’ny Me” as the latest single from his album El Rio, released in 2014. The song was originally a Top 20 hit on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (No. 14) for Bob Seger.
