Typically when Oklahomans are planning a trip to Broken Bow, they're planning a fun family trip filled with a ton of outdoor activities, sightseeing and enjoying some of the great restaurants Hochatown has to offer. I can attest that Broken Bow is even a great a place for a just a couple's weekend getaway! There are plenty of great wineries and breweries that are perfect for a date night or afternoon excursion.

But if you're planning a family trip, you need to check out this petting zoo.

There's nothing my grandkids love more than playing with my puppies when they come over to Nana's house. But it's not often that they get to pet a kangaroo or a small reptile in the same day. So this place would blow their minds.

According to the Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo Facebook page, 95 percent of their animals are rescues that have either been injured, orphaned or surrendered. And it looks like one of their goat rescues just had babies!

This petting zoo has all kinds of animals! Including most farm animals, cats, dogs, and mentioned above, kangaroos, reptiles, goats, a zebra and so much more. And I noticed on the petting zoo's Facebook page that they recently received a BEAUTIFUL fire and ice fox named Kelesie!

It's the perfect adventure for your animal-loving kids and parents who also have a soft spot for furry friends. This would even be a great date activity for couples! The Hochatown Rescue Center and Petting Zoo is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
