Holiday In the Park Will Host a Christmas Market in Lawton, Oklahoma
Holiday In the Park is a longstanding holiday season tradition in Lawton, Oklahoma. It features multiple light displays across Lawton's Elmer Thomas Park, and over the years, it has introduced new attractions. This year, Holiday In the Park will host a Christmas Market featuring local vendors.
Holiday In the Park is one of the main holiday events in Lawton. Families make special plans to walk or drive through Elmer Thomas Park to see all of the beautiful twinkling light displays. Over the past couple of years, Holiday In the Park has expanded its attractions to include an ice skating rink, a Ferris wheel, live caroling, a live nativity display and more.
New attraction at Holiday In the Park this year will be the Christmas Market.
As preparations are underway for this year's holiday season, Holiday In the Park announced that the new attraction this year will be a Christmas Market. People who visit Holiday In the Park this year will be able to shop local vendors set up in the park's very own Christmas Market.
Vendors will be set up inside little Christmas huts, and according to the Holiday In the Park Facebook page, they are still looking for vendors to participate in the Christmas Market. Those interested in becoming a vendor can contact the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce.
Holiday In the Park will kick-off with parade and 5K.
Holiday In the Park will officially open with the annual Holiday In the Park Parade. This year's parade will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. This year's theme is Candyland.
Holiday In the Park will also kick-off the holiday season with at Frost Your Fanny 5K. The 5K will be timed at will take place Saturday, Nov. 16 before the parade. Registration for the 5K will begin at 3 p.m. and the race will start at 5 p.m.
