Listen to Lorde’s ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Song, Plus See 13 New Pics
It was revealed not too long ago that Lorde would not only be contributing a new song to the 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1' soundtrack, but also curating the entire album. Now, a couple months away from the film's theatrical premiere, the "Royals" singer has released her new track to feature in the third installment of the popular film series, and you can listen to it right here.
Called "Yellow Flicker Beat," Lorde's 'Mockingjay' track begins with a Lorde-style folksy tone before breaking into the driving force behind the chorus. "I'm locking up everyone who ever laid a finger on me," she sings, which is very appropriate for the film. 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' sees Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen doing just that, as she rallies the rebels from the District 13 headquarters to eventually lead a full-on assault on the Capitol and face off against the tyrannical President Snow.
In addition to the new track, 13 new 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' pics have trickled out on the film's official Instagram account, giving us an up-close look at Sam Claflin's Finnick, Natalie Dormer's Cressida, Philip Seymour Hoffman's Plutarch, Mahershala Ali's Boggs, Evan Ross' Messalla, Wes Chatham's Castor, Elden Henson's Pollux, Liam Hemsworth's Gale, Jeffrey Wright's Beetee, Stanley Tucci's Caesar, Julianne Moore's District 13 President Coin, Elizabeth Banks' Effie and Woody Harrelson's Haymitch.
Tons more photos will likely pop up as we get closer to the film's debut on November 21. But until then, enjoy the photo gallery below and Lorde's track above.
