Hype Hotel Announces 2016 SXSW Lineup

The Hype Hotel lineup for SXSW 2016 has just been announced. It’s five days and nights worth of cutting-edge artists from all genres of music, presented by Mazda. Empress Of, AlunaGeorge, Charli XCX + Sophie and SBTRKT are a few of the headliners.

Additionally, Health, Jack Garratt, Tunji Ige, Stormzy and Bob Moses join the nearly three dozen acts to take the stage at this popup venue at Fair Market on 5th St. in Austin, Texas. All showcases are open to Music and Platinum badge-holders, as well as Music and Showcasing Artist wristbands.

Six acts will perform each night, with an additional six performing during most days. Dawn and Alex G are a few of the daytime headliners at Hype Hotel. It’s a SXSW tradition that fans can park themselves at to guarantee a full day of new and original sounds.

Hinds, PartyBaby, Kacy Hill, Stealing Sheep and D.R.A.M. are a few of the other performers. Each night’s set starts at 8PM and lasts until the headliner finishes, usually around 2AM.

Country artists Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris are two set to play other events at South by Southwest, an annual festival in Austin that brings together the most diehard music fans and the most dedicated, talented music acts from around the world. Hype Hotel is one of the premium events at the festival, and this year's lineup should only extend the legacy.
