When Rocklahoma announced this year's lineup for their 20th Anniversary, there was an overwhelming number of people who said they just couldn't afford the tickets this year. Instead, we're looking at Oklahoma's free music festivals to cut ticket prices out completely.

Luckily, if Oklahoma's known for anything besides live music, it's affordability. We do, after all, have one of the most affordable places to live in the entire country. So, you can absolutely find affordable events like music festivals to attend; you just have to know where to look.

These music festivals are all free to attend and have much more in store than just music. They're well worth the road trip!

March 13-15, 2026 - Park Stomp - Medicine Park, Oklahoma

Medicine Park is known for having non-stop music festivals year-round. Park Stomp is one of the largest they host every year, attracting people from all over the country for Spring Break.

The entire town lights up with things to do and experience while listening to live music from one end of Main Street to the other. Everything is walkable, pet and family friendly, and the music hardly ever stops.

This year's lineup for Park Stomp has not yet been announced, but updates for the festival can be found at Visit Medicine Park.

March 21, 2026 - Tish Music Fest - Tishomingo, Oklahoma

Tishomingo is one of the coolest towns I've ever visited, especially since the people love live music so much in this area. The Tish Fest has live music scattered everywhere, from the main stage to Ole Red's, to the Wine Bar, and even more places.

Their festival doesn't just include music, though. They'll also have mechanical bull rides, axe-throwing, hot dog eating contests, car meets, a dunk booth, and even more activities.

It's also a free festival with vendors, food, and artists from all over the state. To find out more about the Tish Music Fest, visit tishmusicfest.com.

April 23 - 25 - Norman Music Fest - Norman, Oklahoma

The Norman Music Festival is one of the biggest free events in the state. There's music in nearly every venue near Main Street, and not just the red dirt/country/rock vibes you hear all of the time in Oklahoma.

This year, they've announced 18 headlining artists, and more are still being scheduled. Four stages of nonstop music and fun, with vendors and food everywhere.

The Norman Music Fest is what I would like to describe as Oklahoma's annual Woodstock adaptation. If you love music, you'll love this one.

May 9-11, 2026 - Tulsa Mayfest - Tulsa, Oklahoma

This is actually a festival I hadn't yet heard of, but when I saw who was headlining this year, I immediately added it to my own calendar.

The Tulsa Mayfest is a massive free festival with non-stop music all weekend long. This year's headliners feature Kaitlin Butts, MYA, and Lawton's own Madison Ward.

Because it's Tulsa, there will, of course, be numerous activities and options for things to do while enjoying the music. The events schedule is still being updated, but to find out more, visit tulsamayfest.org.
