Our Obsession with The Walking Dead
My wife and I were so obsessed with it that we would often scope out potential places to try and survive a zombie apocalypse while we were out for country rides. The keyword being “country.” The last place you would want to be when it goes down is in the middle of the big city.
With that in mind, the folks at Excavator Parts Direct conducted a study of the 20 most populous cities in the United States to determine which would offer the best odds of surviving a zombie apocalypse. It turns out, those in Fort Worth would have the best chance of survival. San Antonio and Dallas were also among the 10 cities with the best odds of surviving.
Why Fort Worth, Dallas, and San Antonio Made the List
Of course, you’re wondering how in the world they reached their conclusions. Researchers ranked each city according to the following factors: population density, road conditions, access to rural areas, number of gas stations, average traffic congestion, access to cars, and walkability.
Now, let’s just hope like hell it never happens.
