Kacey Musgraves has released a second statement since revealing that her Twitter got hacked on Saturday (Aug. 10).

Musgraves' Twitter account gave a "like" to a sexist and quite vulgar tweet from Kid Rock about Taylor Swift's political stances.

Musgraves first tweeted about the incident once she was made aware. “Yoooo —my account was hacked," the singer wrote. "I’ve been working all day and just got on Twitter."

Fans pointed out that it seemed the hacker only favorited the one tweet during the time, making some fans suspicious. However, Musgraves put those rumors to rest by sending out a second tweet.

"Last week I was dragged because of how liberal I am and anyone that knows me knows how outspoken I am about equality & respect," she tweeted. "I've connected with Taylor—she knows this is NOT how I feel and we are cool. That was a manipulated image, (I don't even follow Kid Rock), and I would NEVERRR support any message promoting such misogyny."

Musgraves' remark about "dragging" stems from her political gun control speech which she delivered during her set at Lollapalooza in response to two back-to-back shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. "I can't even believe that we're having to process the s--t that's happening in the last 24 hours, much less everything that's happened in the last 200 and f---ing 15 days in America," Musgraves told the crowd. "I don't know what the answer is but obviously something has to be f---ing done."

Swift has since liked Musgraves' second statement on Twitter.

Celebrities and fans alike began to defend Swift after Kid Rock posted the tweet, including his collaborator and friend Sheryl Crow. Crow and Kid Rock paired up for a duet on the single "Picture" in 2002.
