Kacey Musgraves wins twice during the 56th annual Grammy Awards, at Los Angeles' Staples Center. She takes home the awards for Best Country Album (for Same Trailer Different Park), and Best Country Song, for "Merry Go 'Round" (co-writer with Shane MacAnally & Josh Osborne).

Musgraves was a double nominee in the Best Song category, also being nominated as co-writer of Miranda Lambert's "Mama's Broken Heart"; she was also nominated for Best New Artist, loosing out to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Her 4 nominations tied Taylor Swift and Lorde for most by a female artist at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.

    George Strait’s package, 50 #1s was certified multi-platinum for sales of 5 million copies. The compilation featured all of Strait’s #1 hits to that point, starting with 1982's "Fool Hearted Memory." The set featured one new song, “I Hate Everything”, which true to the album’s title, reached the top of the charts. The album has since been certified 7x platinum by the RIAA.
