Kris Kristofferson Wrote This Song Inspired by Frank Sinatra. Do You Know Which One it Is? [VIDEO]
Kris Kristofferson wrote many songs for many, many artists including himself. Inspiration came from real life, his military history, and even from magazine articles that he had read.
Kristofferson said that the inspiration for today's KLAW Classic came from a magazine interview with Frank Sinatra who was quoted as saying 'Booze, Broads, or the Bible - Whatever gets me through the night'. From that was born 'Help Me Make it Through the Night', a song that Kristofferson released himself before it was recorded by the woman who is now known for the song, Sammi Smith.
