Lady Antebellum Want to Perform at Your Prom
If you’re having a particularly difficult time choosing your prom theme for this year — the Vegas theme is a little tired and you’re tired of standing by a cardboard miniature of the Eiffel Tower — Lady Antebellum are offering up a pretty compelling alternative. The country trio would like to suggest a different option, and they’re even willing to come help you pull it off. How about an ‘Own the Night’-themed prom?
The band just announced on their website that they’re willing to come to one high school this year and perform for 45 minutes during that high school’s prom, regardless of whether it’s a junior, senior or reunion prom (good news for older country fans). But they’re not going to do it without a little effort from the person submitting the request. The ‘We Owned the Night’ singers are asking fans to submit videos giving details about their city, their school and why they want to have the trio at their prom.
Submissions can be made to the band by emailing a YouTube link (see video below for details) by March 16, and the most creative submission will be selected on March 20. In addition to a 45-minute performance, the group is also giving out two passes for a pre-performance meet and greet. Even though only one submission will win, Lady A say they’re going to be featuring others on their social networks.
The band, who are already well into writing songs for their next record, are currently nominated for four ACM Awards and are keeping super busy on their Own the Night 2012 Tour. Just this week, they released the music video for their hit single ‘Dancin’ Away With My Heart.’
