Lawton’s New App Keeps You In The Loop With City Updates
Even though there are several ways to receive information these days, it can still be hard to get the correct information. But the City of Lawton is looking to help citizens with getting the correct information with its new app! On Monday, June 9, the City of Lawton launched its new app Go Lawton.
Up until this week, the best way to get information straight from the City of Lawton was by signing up for text message alerts, by following the official City of Lawton Facebook page or periodically checking the city's website. Now residents can download the Go Lawton app a receive app alerts for things like service interruptions, road closures and other essential information.
According to a press release, the Go Lawton app is to keep Lawton residents updated on the latest city information, including city events, public safety and more.
"Our team is committed to ensuring Lawtonians stay informed, engaged, and empowered," said Caitlin Gatlin, the City of Lawton's Communications & Marketing Manager. "Transparency is the foundation of our work, and this app gives residents a new, convenient way to receive real-time updates directly from City Hall."
The Go Lawton app is available for Apple and android.
Lawton residents can download the Go Lawton app from both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. For those who may not want to or unable to download the Go Lawton app, residents can still sign up for text message alerts. Residents who want text message alerts can text "Join Lawton" to 31002.
