Refresh For Fall: The City of Lawton Will Host a Community Cleanout On November 15
People usually get busy cleaning around springtime, but the City of Lawton is encouraging residents to consider a fall refresh! This November the City of Lawton and the Lawton Public Library will host a Community Cleanout for bulk items and gently-used clothing.
I love shopping, but I don't always have a lot of closet space to work with, and sometimes when doing my laundry, I come across items I haven't worn in a while! So I'll do a closet cleanout. I'll often take bags of clothes to work to share with my coworkers and then take the rest to Goodwill - if I remember!
There have been numerous occasions when I've left bags of clothes at work or in my car, and I know I'm not alone in this. And I know my family aren't the only ones with unused home items and trees that need to be trimmed before winter!
So having this Community Cleanout in the fall will be a great opportunity to go through my spring and summer clothing and clean up our yard before the cooler months.
