Get Your Halloween Costume Before Spooky Season Kicks Off
I may be dubbed as "Jeri Christmas," but I'm also a big fan of the nightmare before Christmas, Halloween! Our office is already planning our pre-Halloween get together to eat spooky snacks and watch Hocus Pocus 2 when it drops on Disney+ next week. So I need a Sanderson Sister or some kind of witch costume for this, right?!
Well, us Lawtonians are in luck because Lawton Community Theatre is hosting its annual Halloween Costume Sale this Saturday, Sept. 24! The theater will have various items to make a great Halloween costume, including shirts, pants, hats, wigs, props, and so much more. You may even be able to grab a costume from your favorite LCT production! An added bonus to this sale is that the theater will also have a lot of vintage pieces that would be great to add to a fashion collection or to your everyday wardrobe.
The costume sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday at the theater, 1316 NW Bell. All proceeds will go to benefit Lawton Community Theatre. The theater is the longest continually running community theater in the state of Oklahoma! I always love getting to go a show at LCT, especially on opening night because they make it extra special with snacks and drinks. The theater's first show of its 71st season is "Cabaret" and will premiere next Friday!
I bet you'll be able to get "Cabaret" tickets at this weekend's sale, but LCT also has tickets available to purchase online. Who knows, maybe at the costume sale you'll find the perfect outfit for a Berlin night out on opening night!
