Live Music And Contests Await At Lawton Fort Sill Freedom Fest

Lawton Fort Sill will celebrate America's 250th anniversary this weekend and Independence Day during the annual Freedom Festival. This year's festival will feature live music, food trucks, family activities, a drone show, professional fireworks display, and more.

This year's Lawton Fort Sill Freedom Festival will take place on the Fort Sill Polo Field this Saturday, June 27. The field will open at 5 p.m. and activities will begin at 6 p.m.

This year's live entertainment at the Lawton Fort Sill Freedom Festival will feature bands and a DJ.

Even though the annual Freedom Festival will be at a different location this year, the festival will still have its signature live music! This year's like entertainment will include the 145th Army Band, the Country Jamm Band, and Deejay Hybrid.

All live entertainment will take place on the Main Stage located in the center of the Fort Sill Polo Field.

Attendees can participate in three different contests at this year's Freedom Festival.

Some of the activities at this year's Lawton Fort Sill Freedom Festival includes three contests. Attendees can participate in a hot dog eating contest, apple pie eating contest, and an apple pie bake off.

The hot dog eating contest will take place at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage. Participants must be at the front of the stage by 7:15 p.m. The hot dog eating contest is open to the first 10 participants.
The apple pie eating contest will take place at 8 p.m. on the south side of the Polo Field, near the kids games. Participants must meet at the BOSS tent by 7:45 p.m. The apple pie eating contest is open to the first 10 participants.
Contestants for the apple pie bake off must drop off their pies at the rear door of the Polo House between 6-8 p.m. Judging will begin at 8:30 p.m. and the winner will be announced on the main stage at 9 p.m.

Families can enjoy various activities and multiple food trucks at the Lawton Fort Sill Freedom Festival.

The Lawton Fort Sill Freedom Festival will also feature various activities for the whole family, including picnic-style games, potato sack races, egg toss, and tug-of-war.

Even though no outside food or drink is allowed, attendees at the festival can still get food and drinks at various food trucks. A full list of food trucks is available below.
