Lawton High School Wins This Weeks Monday Smiles!

In the halls of Lawton High School...

If you finished that line, I know that you are an LHS Alumni! I know this because I am an Alumni too!  When our Digital Managing Editor told me that Lawton High School had won the Best School category of our Monday Smiles promotion, I couldn't be happier.

And what a great time to win!  It's homecoming week at Lawton High School with their assembly coming up on Friday, the game Friday night, and the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night.

Plus, after last Friday, Lawton High School is City Champion!  With a 51-20 win over their East Side rival MacArthur High School a week ago, and most recently a 30-16 win over their arch nemesis, Eisenhower High School. Hanta Yo!

Congratulations to Lawton High School as the school most nominated/voted for Monday Smiles. Businesses or organizations are nominated for the way they make the public feel. Whether it's customer service, memories, student associations, or just the way you treat people on a day-to-day basis. KLAW listeners have spoken! Our friends at Flowers by Ramon then create a beautiful floral arrangement, especially for the winner.

Jeri Anderson of KLAW's Morning Crew delivered this week's arrangement, and the school chose to have a student receive the recognition rather than the Principal or the Activities Director!  Really, that just says so much about why Lawton High School won this award.  It's all about the students. Past and Present.  I know, I have a brand new Alumni tee shirt after my visit this morning.
