Believe it or not, Christmas is right around the corner! And Lawton is already prepping for the holiday season by setting up lights for Holiday In The Park in Elmer Thomas Park. And the season will officially kickoff in Lawton on Saturday, November 22.

Holiday In The Park will launch its volunteer weekends this weekend. Residents who are ready for the holidays can help Holiday In The Park get ready for the most wonderful time of the year by helping string up lights in the park.

Another way to help kickoff the holiday season in Lawton is to sign up for the annual Holiday In The Park parade and Frost Your Fanny 5K Run.

This year's theme for the Holiday In The Park parade is The Island of Misplaced Toys. Holiday In The Park is already seeking entries and volunteers for the parade on Saturday, November 22.

The Frost Your Fanny 5K Run will take place right before the parade on Saturday, November 22. Runners of all ages are welcome, and participants don't have to run, they can also walk, jog or sprint.

Holiday In The Park is currently accepting sign ups for the Frost Your Fanny 5K Run. Participants can also sign up the day-of the run.

Saturday, November 22 will be the official lighting of Holiday In The Park.

After the Frost Your Fanny 5K Run and the parade, Holiday In The Park will officially be lit in Elmer Thomas Park! After the festivities, attendees and participants will be able to walk through Elmer Thomas Park and enjoy the several thousand holiday lights and other activities.
