Get Ready For The Lawton Rangers Rodeo This August

Summertime in Lawton means it's time for the Lawton Rangers Rodeo! The 87th annual rodeo is set to take place August 6-9 at the LO Ranch Arena in Lawton, Oklahoma.

This year's rodeo will have its usual themed night. Check out the schedule for the 87th annual Lawton Rangers Rodeo below:

• 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 6 - $10 Carload Night - Everyone in the car gets into the rodeo for just $10!
• 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 7 - Four for One Pink Night - One ticket gets four people into the rodeo, and be sure to wear pink!
• 7:30 p.m. Friday, August 8 - Military Night - Wear your red, white and blue to support our troops!
• 7:30 p.m. Saturday, August 9 - Grand Finale - Witness the winners in all their glory at the grand finale of the Lawton Rangers Rodeo!

Miss Rodeo Lawton Pageant set for August 1 and 2.

This year the Miss Rodeo Lawton Pageant will take place August 1 and 2. The pageant is presented by the Lawton Rangers Women's Auxiliary. Last year's queen was Josie Chandler.

The Lawton Rangers Rodeo has a long history in Lawton and is "the largest Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo in Oklahoma, and ranked as one of the top 50 in the U.S." Every year the Lawton Rangers Rodeo sees over 50,000 visitors who come to see "more than 400 highly skilled cowboys and cowgirls from across the country compete in barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, and other exciting events."
