Last night, James and I headed to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, Rib Crib.  It had been a bit since we were last there, so we had some time to visit with the Manager, Jason Keithley for a bit while waiting for our dinner to arrive.  Several guests came and went during our meal, and we actually paid no attention to the couple with a young child that was sitting directly behind us.

They left after their meal and wished us a good evening, and we did the same in return.  It wasn't until they had left the building that we found out that they had paid for our meal!  What a surprise!  I cannot remember that ever happening to us!  How kind to have some stranger just add our meal to their ticket, seeking no glory whatsoever for themselves.

Now, I'm wanting to do the same thing myself!  Critter (my Morning Crew partner) and I have paid for people in line behind us in Chick-fil-A before, but that was a couple of bucks, to pay for a whole meal is a real commitment.

The more I thought about it last night and into today, I really would like to start a campaign in Lawton using the hashtag #payitforwardLawton!  I'll use it on social media when I am able to repay the kindness of our friends in the next booth.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if more of us would be kind and pay forward the kindnesses shown to us on a daily basis? I say we start today and Pay it Forward Lawton!
