Maddie & Tae have released a stripped-down, acoustic rendition of Lee Ann Womack's hit song "A Little Past Little Rock." The duo serenade the camera against a purple background as their band plays behind them.

"Not sure if there is a more special song to us than @LeeAnnWomack's 'A Little Past Little Rock.' We’ve been playing it since we were 16 years old, anywhere people would listen. And we’ll keep singing it any time we can!" Maddie & Tae share via social media.

"It's a lonely stretch of blacktop / Out into the blue / Don't know where I'll go / Or what I'll do / I'm a little past Little Rock / But a long way from over you / These headlights on the highway / Disappear into the dark," they croon.

The Secret History of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats"

Maddie & Tae's current single, "Die From a Broken Heart" has broken into Spotify's Viral Chart in both Canada and the United States."'Die From a Broken Heart' is one of our most personal songs from the upcoming album, but to see the way it’s connecting with the fans and how they're relating it to their own stories really means the world to us," they say in a press release.

It's not clear when the duo's sophomore album will be released. Their last, Start Here, came in 2015 on the back of their hit single "Girl in a Country Song."

This summer, Maddie & Tae will be embarking on Carrie Underwood's Cry Pretty Tour along with Runaway June. The stage will be in-the-round and rotate 360 degrees, making sure every fan has the chance to get as close to the artists as possible.
