Maren Morris is celebrating International Woman’s Day on Friday (March 8) with the release of her long-awaited, girl-empowering new album, Girl, but she's also celebrating the No. 1 man in her life, husband Ryan Hurd.

In a new interview with Taste of Country Nights, the "The Middle" hitmaker couldn't help but gush over Hurd's recent string of sold-out shows, including one at the iconic Exit/In in Nashville.

"It was really nice to be in a hometown environment and his whole family came out," Morris tells the night show. "You know, I'm really proud of him because I played all of those venues pretty much when my first album was out so the fact that he doesn't even have a full record out and he's sold these venues out, I'm just floored."

How Marriage and Womanhood Influenced Maren Morris' Girl Album

Hurd's recent tour run went so well that he has already extended his To a T Tour through April, now including stops in North Carolina, Georgia and Missouri. And while Morris herself won’t be able to catch as many of Hurd's upcoming shows since she will be out on her own Girl: The World Tour (an all-female run with openers Cassadee Pope and RaeLynn), she did say how much it meant for her to be at the Exit/In show.

"(It) was like the last night I will get to see him play for awhile," Morris explains. "(His) fam was out in the crowd and I was on the wing behind the curtain, creeping."

"It was a packed house."

Morris and Hurd will celebrate their one-year marriage anniversary on March 24.
