Martina McBride announced a partnership with Sarah Cannon and Band Against Cancer in the form of a tour Monday morning (Feb. 8). The singer kicked off the first day of 2016 Country Radio Seminar with her news from at the Ford Theatre in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

McBride has joined forces with HCA Holdings Inc., the nation's largest hospital company, and HCA subsidiary Sarah Cannon, to raise cancer awareness in the form of a concert series. While the dates haven't been revealed yet, the tour will conclude in October at the Grand Ole Opry.

More information on the collaboration will be made available on, where there is currently a message from McBride on the website's homepage.

Hi, I’m Martina McBride.
Together with the family of cancer experts at Sarah Cannon, we’re starting Band Against Cancer - a movement to empower everyone touched by this disease. Join our team through the form below to receive exclusive concert details and learn how we can fight this together. When we Band Against Cancer - cancer doesn’t stand a chance.

The website then asks fans to enter their information to learn more about the tour and stay informed. "In the coming months we'll be sending out important updates on concert dates, contest details, ways to get involved, events in your community and more," the website states.

"Helping families who are facing cancer has always been a cause that is near and dear to my heart," says the singer. "I'm honored to be the voice that connects these individuals and their families with a fully committed team of cancer experts. Together with Sarah Cannon, this means each person can fight cancer where they get their greatest strength, in their own communities, with their own band of support."

This is not the first time McBride has been an advocate in fighting for cancer awareness. In 2011 McBride released the poignant single "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," which details a woman who is a wife and mother who learns that she has cancer. It was the second single from her album Eleven and went on to receive a nomination at the 54th Grammy Awards for Best Country Solo Performance.
