Miranda Lambert’s Husband Has to Help Her Navigate NYC Subway System
Miranda Lambert is adjusting to her life in the Big Apple and she needs her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, to help in the process.
"I don’t know how to navigate [the subway],” Lambert told New York’s Country 94.7 on Nov. 4. “I’m scared of the stops. I know I won’t pay attention — I’m ADD — so I’ll be daydreaming and miss my place to get out."
McLoughlin is helping Lambert navigate and manage her apprehension of the subway system by attempting to get her to "chill out about it."
Since marrying her husband nine months ago, the "It All Comes Out in the Wash" singer now splits her time between New York City and her farm in Nashville. While Lambert has come around to city living, she insists that her heart belongs in the country, telling People, "My heart is in Texas and Tennessee, but my husband has opened my eyes to a whole new world."
Lambert insists that she loves the city; however, the daily hustle and bustle of the renowned town can be draining. She goes back to her farm to "refuel," saying, "Spending a lot of time here, I start to get anxiety and stress, and go, ‘Okay, that’s three days. No more sirens. I’m good’… That’s why going back to the farm refuels me."
While going back to the farm refuels Lambert, she is going to need it as she continues to have a busy 2019. Lambert released her latest album Wildcard on Nov. 1, and she is on her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour. She will also be embarking on her 2020 Wildcard Tour to support her album of the same name.
