Starting tomorrow, audiences around the country will be able to see Hugh Jackman in Chappie, playing a former military man turned robotics engineer trying to create a new police drone. He sports a hideous mullet, spends most of the film sitting at a dreary cubicle, and generally behaves like a dope. So if you’re a Jackman fan looking for the guy you loved in the X-Men and Wolverine movies, I’m afraid you’re going to have to wait a while longer.

too much longer, though.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to open in May of 2016, and while the details are still pretty sketchy about the film, the third solo
Wolverine movie is on the way as well. It’s currently scheduled for a March 3, 2017 release, and its director,
James Mangold, just confirmed on Twitter that the movie is still proceeding according to plan:

The Wolverine 2 (a.k.a.
The Twolverine) is being written by David James Kelly, and the Huge Jacked Man will be back for yet another go as everyone’s favorite hairy, pointy mutant. (Jackman recently announced, somewhat jokingly, that he now intends to play Wolverine
until he dies.) If Jackman’s not on his deranged chicken-and-rice-and-working-out-18-hours-a-day superhero diet yet, he will be soon. Let’s just hope he ditches that mullet too.
