You can watch the most unusual moon this week. Supermoon, is only 221,802 miles away from our planet. Due to its proximity to the earth Supermoon will seem bigger and brighter than an ordinary full moon. But that’s not the only reason why Supermoon is so important!

Named by astrologer Richard Nolle, Supermoon gets its name because is the closest to the Earth.

“…Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line, with Moon in its nearest approach to Earth,” Nolle said.

You can observe Supermoon with us on Saturday night at 10:35 PM CT. I have always thought that moons have something very romantic and mystical about them. One of my favorite lines from a song is ‘'ll be looking at the moon, but I'll be seeing you,’ the Notebook.

That’s why we decided to put a poll together and see which country song about the moon is your favorite! You won’t believe how many songs there are about moons!
