Oklahoma Brewery Drops Dolly Parton-Inspired Lager
March 8 is International Women's Day, and one Oklahoma brewery will celebrate with the drop of a new brew! Last week, Anthem Brewing in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, announced that it would release its new 9 to 5 Lager in celebration of women in the local brewing community.
According to an Instagram post from Anthem Brewing, the lager was crafted by the women of the brewery and perfectly pays "tribute to all the women who tumble out of bed to make and pour ourselves a pint of ambition."
The 9 to 5 Lager drops Wednesday, March 8, which is International Women's Day!
Anthem Brewing will be donating portions of its 9 to 5 Lager to the Oklahoma Pink Boots Chapter, which is a chapter of the Pink Boots Society that was created to "assist, inspire and encourage women and non-binary individuals in the beer industry," when it is released on Wednesday, March 8.
Everything about the 9 to 5 Lager was created by women.
The girls were girling when they created the 9 to 5 Lager. From doing all that has to be done to create the lager itself, down to the label design, everything about the 9 to 5 Lager was produced entirely by the women of Anthem Brewing.
According to a Facebook post from Anthem Brewing, the 9 to 5 lager was crafted with Vienna malt and using this year's exclusive Pink Boots Hop Blend, and the overall taste of the lager is crisp and bright with notes of golden toast and a floral aroma.
Honestly, the 9 to 5 Lager sounds like the perfect drink to cheers with all your gal pals to celebrate International Women's Day. We believe even Dolly Parton herself would call this a "pint of ambition."
