Oklahoma City Thunder Fan Sinks Shot from Half-Court to Win $20,000 for His Wife’s Cancer Treatment
Heath Kufahl and his wife were at an Oklahoma City Thunder game and were picked to compete at halftime against another couple for a chance to win $20,000. Well, in the first round, Heath and his wife made more shots than the other couple. Beating that couple is what gave Heath the chance at the half-court shot.
Heath sunk the shot and won $20,000. Later it was revealed that he was at an earlier game and noticed fans being picked for this contest. So, he and his wife came back to another game determined to get picked. He was. He made the shot. They won the money.
Why was it so important? Well, his wife has a rare form of cancer and he plans to use this money for her treatment.
