Chow Down At Oklahoma’s Great American Hatch Chile Festival
One of the best parts about fall is hatch chile season, and Oklahoma's annual Great American Hatch Chile Festival celebrates just that. The sixth annual Great American Hatch Chile Festival is set for Sept. 14-15 in Oklahoma City.
Hosted by Power House, a bar and grill located in the old "power house" of Oklahoma City's Historic Farmers Public Market, the Great American Hatch Chile Festival vendors, food, music, and, of course, its namesake, hatch chiles. Power House will even be roasting fresh hatch chiles for people to purchase.
If you LOVE hatch chiles, then you wont want to miss this year's festival. Local restaurants will have hatch chile inspired recipes. And local brewery Anthem Brewing will feature its Roasted Hatch Chile Pilsner at the festival.
Donations of used musical instruments will be accepted at the festival.
The Great American Hatch Chile Festival is also a way to give back to the community. At the festival, Power House will be accepting donations of used musical instruments to be given to children in the community in need of an instrument.
