Book stores are often limited in southwest Oklahoma. But one new business is making book shopping mobile. The Page Society Bookshop is a new mobile book store that's making the rounds in southwest Oklahoma.
The Page Society Bookshop is a mobile book store based out of Duncan, Oklahoma, but has been popping up across southwest Oklahoma. Readers can find several genres of books inside The Page Society Bookshop's mobile book store. Children can discover a new picture books and adults can browse the latest romance or thriller releases.
According to an article from The Lawton Constitution, Kara Sanders, owner of The Page Society Bookshop, started the mobile book store because she believed southwest Oklahoma was in need of more access to books.
"I really like to read and there aren't many bookstores anymore," Sanders said to The Lawton Constitution. "You know, you can buy books at Amazon or Walmart but it's just not the same as a bookstore."
The Page Society Bookshop has visited Duncan, Marlow and Comanche.
Since opening in April, The Page Society Bookshop has popped up in Duncan, Marlow and Comanche. But Sanders is open to bringing The Page Society Bookshop to other places in southwest Oklahoma. She encourages local events and businesses to contact her to bring The Page Society Bookshop to pop-up in their community.
