Everybody Loves Ray Romano Guest Starring on ‘Parenthood’
‘Parenthood’ has flown in somewhat under the radar of NBC shows, seemingly always on the bubble even as it makes it into its fourth season. Similarly, former ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ star Ray Romano’s last gig with ‘Men of a Certain Age’ on TNT didn’t turn many heads, but drew plenty of critical acclaim. So, it makes sense to combine the two, right? Right?
NBC has issues a new press release outlining that former ‘Men of a Certain Age’ and ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ star Ray Romano has picked up a recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of the family drama ‘Parenthood,’ to begin this September.
Set to be introduced in the September 11 season premiere for a multi-episode arc, Romano will play a photographer and former photo journalist who befriends Lauren Graham’s character Sarah and complicates her relationship with Mark (Jason Ritter). And just in case you’re unfamiliar with the series, from the official press release:
“Parenthood” is a one-hour drama inspired by the box-office hit of the same name. This re-imagined and updated Universal Television/Imagine Television production follows the trials and tribulations of the very large, very colorful and imperfect Braverman family. The series stars Peter Krause, Lauren Graham, Dax Shepard, Monica Potter, Erika Christensen, Sam Jaeger, Savannah Paige Rae, Max Burkholder, Joy Bryant, Tyree Brown, Miles Heizer, Mae Whitman, Xolo Mariduena, Bonnie Bedelia and Craig T. Nelson.
What say you? Will Ray Romano’s presence be enough to keep ‘Parenthood’ afloat for another season? Sound off in the comments!
