The men of Parmalee are stoked to be out on the road with country superstar Brad Paisley, something they couldn't keep quiet about when chatting with Sam Alex -- host of Taste of Country Nights -- recently.

In fact, Matt and Scott Thomas, Barry Knox and Josh McSwain -- who make up the country group -- Country Nation World Tour hadn't met Mr. Paisley before the run kicked off on Jan. 17.

"We’ve said hey to Brad once, but I don’t think we’ve officially met," Parmalee explain. "We never really sat down and got to meet him -- looking forward to that. Obviously, this opportunity is amazing."

Like most of us, they've heard a lot about the 'Perfect Storm' singer, and they insist it's been mostly good.

"We’ve heard just great things about Brad and what a good person he is," the band says.

The family band (plus one lifelong friend that's really more like family) gushed about the opportunity to open for such an esteemed act, admitting it's quite a treat for their group, as they're still considered 'newcomers.'

“He’s done an amazing job with his career and we’re just all fans of him and his music. We’re looking forward to, it’s a big opportunity for us. It’s going to be fun."

Fans who are lucky enough to catch Parmalee should brush up on their 'Feels Like Carolina' album, as the band will release the next single from it, 'Already Callin' You Mine,' in early February. They say releasing that last one is "great because we didn’t know if we were gonna get another one off this record, but we are."

With a forthcoming single and this huge tour, you'd think the men of Parmalee would be pretty satisfied with what's checked off their bucket list, but they do admit there are two big things they want to do: go skydiving and bungee jumping. 2015 will be a big year for them -- they may even conquer some new heights.

Sam Alex is the host of Taste of Country Nights radio, a syndicated night show which airs on more than 60 Townsquare Media Group stations nationwide.
