Hear Ryan Hurd’s New Single, ‘Love in a Bar’
Get ready to hear a whole lot more from Ryan Hurd: The up-and-coming artist will soon release his song “Love in a Bar” to radio stations across the country.
Co-written by Hurd and Joey Hyde, "Love in a Bar" is the kind of song that's perfect for summer. In its chorus, Hurd sings, "We found love in a bar, in the back of a patio corner / Away from the lights, it was us and Corona / And hearts on fire like the cigarettes you smoke when you drink / Now we can’t turn back ‘cause the words came out, and the truth can’t lie / And we’ve been sayin’ it with our eyes the whole time / That you had my whole heart / Yeah, we found love in a bar."
"Love in a Bar" will be Hurd’s first single release since signing a major-label recording contract earlier this year. In January, Hurd inked a deal with Sony Music Nashville to record an album on the company's RCA Nashville imprint. When he signed, Sony Music Nashville chairman and CEO Randy Goodman described Hurd as one of the label’s “new artist breakouts in 2017.”
Along with spending time on tour with his girlfriend Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett, Hurd has written songs for Dierks Bentley (“I’ll Be the Moon”), the Brothers Osborne (“Greener Pastures”), Tim McGraw (“Last Turn Home”) and many more. Blake Shelton‘s “Lonely Tonight,” which Hurd co-wrote with Brent Anderson, earned him nods at the CMA Awards and Grammys, too.
Hurd is still working on his debut album, but the buzzy and upbeat “Love in a Bar” is set to hit country radio on June 12.
