See Enormous Sinkhole That Swallowed 12 Cars Outside IHOP

Pancakes weren't the only thing being gobbled up outside one IHOP.

A giant sinkhole opened up and devoured 12 cars in the parking lot of an IHOP in Meridian, Miss on Saturday night. Another report claims 15 cars were sucked in.

It's not clear what caused the sinkhole at this time, although the city plans to investigate.

Estimates state the sinkhole -- or what may be a culvert that collapsed -- measures 30 feet deep and 370 feet long (although some reports specify it was nearly 50 feet deep).

No one was hurt. The IHOP had just opened last week.
