Welcome to the fourth annual Golden Boot Awards! The Boot’s fan-voted digital awards, the Golden Boot Awards will, in 2017, feature 10 categories of staff-selected nominees who made waves in the country music world between May 2016 and April 2017. Readers can vote for their preferred winner in each category as often as once per hour through 11:59PM ET on June 4. We’ll announce the winners on the site the following Monday (June 5).

Florida Georgia Line return to the lineup of candidates for Song of the Year in the Golden Boot Awards with their swoon-worthy tune "H.O.L.Y." (an acronym for "high on loving you"). The song took a dramatic leap from No. 39 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in the span of one week! Faith Hill and Tim McGraw also found chart success with their GBAs-nominated song "Speak to a Girl." The new single gave the duo their highest Billboard Country Airplay chart debut ever, edging out their earlier record-holder "It's Your Love," released 20 years ago, in May of 1997.

Also in the running for 2017 Golden Boot Awards Song of the Year is "Body Like a Back Road," released by Sam Hunt in February. It's a sexy and playful single that came on the heels of Hunt's news that he was engaged to on-again, off-again girlfriend Hannah Lee Fowler. Additionally, there's Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's "Hope the High Road," the first song from their upcoming album, The Nashville Sound. The hard-driving ballad addresses social justice issues with a positive voice and Isbell's trademark edge.

Of course, Miranda Lambert's "Vice" is among the songs nominated for Golden Boot Awards Song of the Year in 2017: The track was an instant classic with a grainy, throwback sound. Brad Paisley's sentimental "Today" -- a heartwarming nod to the value of each day and enjoying life's special moments -- rounds out this category's nominees.
