One of the best parts about fall is visiting the pumpkin patch, and southwest Oklahoma residents have two local pumpkin patches to visit for fall fun and, of course, pumpkins. Bigfoot Ranch Pumpkin Patch in Apache and Sweet Pickins Pumpkin Patch in Altus have both set their opening weekends for this fall in September and October.

Both pumpkin patches offer fall activities, photo opportunities and hundreds of pumpkins to choose from. Local schools can also schedule field trip days to each pumpkin patch.

Bigfoot Ranch Pumpkin Patch will open Friday, Sept. 25.

Bigfoot Ranch Pumpkin Patch will be the first pumpkin patch to open in southwest Oklahoma this fall. The pumpkin patch will host its official opening day on Friday, Sept. 25 and will remain open through October.

Bigfoot Ranch Pumpkin Patch offers pumpkin picking, a corn maze, hayrides, a bounce pad, petting zoo with farm animals, tricycle race track, haystack with tunnel, round bale maze, volleyball, corn hole, zip line, photo opportunities and a play area for small children. Visitors may also have a chance to see Bigfoot himself.

This year will be Bigfoot Ranch Pumpkin Patch's fourth season. More information about days, hours and admission costs will be available on the Bigfoot Ranch Pumpkin Patch Facebook page and website.

Sweet Pickins Pumpkin Patch will open Saturday, Oct. 3.

Sweet Pickins Pumpkin Patch in Altus will host its opening weekend on Saturday, Oct. 3 and Sunday, Oct. 4. Sweet Pickins will be open every weekend in October with its last weekend set for Saturday, Oct. 31 and Sunday, Nov. 1.

Sweet Pickins will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Saturday in October and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday in October. Admission will be $7 per person and free for children two and younger. Pumpkins will be available for purchase separately.

Sweet Pickins visitors can enjoy pumpkin picking, fall games, petting zoo, photo opportunities and more fall fun. This year will be sixth season for Sweet Pickins Pumpkin Patch.
