Succulents and Lunch at the Historic Mattie Beal Home
I'm on a roll with planting new plants at my house. I thought I might try my hand at succulents. How hard can they be not to kill?
The Lawton Heritage Association will host a Lunch and Learn this Wednesday, May 12 at the Historic Mattie Beal Home. This week you will learn all about succulents from the expert, Ricky Harrison from Naturescape Nursery. Ricky will take you through how to care for and maintain these beautiful plants for either your home or your workplace.
What could be better than learning how to make your home more beautiful in a home that has signified beauty for over a hundred years. The historic Mattie Beal Home has just reopened for tours, and is now the back drop for this Lunch and Learn program.
Oh, did I mention lunch? Yes, lunch is provided! There is a $15 fee, and lunch and the program will take place from Noon to 1pm.
If you are fascinated, as I am, with the beautiful rubbery looking plants, you will definitely want to schedule your lunch hour around this opportunity to find out just how not to kill your plants! Ricky Harrison, has vast knowlege of these and many other plants, so bring your questions, and be ready for a fun learning day, with the beauty of the Mattie Beal Home serving as the wonderful peaceful setting.
For tickets call (580) 585-7119, or email LawtonHeritageAssociation.Inc.@gmail.com, or visit the eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/myevent?eid=150184280225.
