Sugarland Hint at a Comeback During the 2017 CMA Awards
Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles have been happily pursuing their solo careers, but they've hinted at the possibility of a Sugarland reunion. At the 2017 CMA Awards, the duo added even more reason to hope.
While presenting the CMA for Vocal Duo of the Year -- a surprise appearance in itself -- the pair jokingly bragged that they had won the award every year between 2007 and 2011. And after rattling off their victories, Nettles gave the camera a meaningful look and said, "Well ... who knows."
Directly after their award presentation, the Sugarland website was updated to say one thing: #StillTheSame. The Sugarland Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages have all been updated with a photo of Bush and Nettles smiling at each other, with the same hashtag.
Bush and Nettles hinted at a reunion all the way back in 2015.
"I think it’s going to be fantastic," Bush told The Boot about their eventual reunion. "I think about it a lot. Creatively, what’s great is, Sugarland is just creating out of the balance of that back and forth, or at least that’s what it became. I guess, at the beginning, it was just a big idea; it was a big idea that we started building on. I think it will be fun."
Whatever this means for Sugarland, we're excited.
