Supergirl Season 2 is wasting no time showcasing the new (old) hero on the block, as our October 10 return will introduce the Superman awkwardly teased all throughout Season 1. See for yourself, as Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel takes flight with his cousin in the first Season 2 clip!

Entertainment Weekly brought the first official premiere clip down to earth, as we meet Tyler Hoechlin’s Clark Kent sharing an offscreen conversation with the famed Perry White. Meeting Clark certainly isn’t all however, as the scene quickly pivots to that classic Superman imagery, before the two Kryptonian cousins gleefully team up to save the day:

So reads the “Adventures of Supergirl” premiere synopsis:

THE CW HAS A NEW HERO AND SHE’S BRINGING SUPERMAN WITH HER

When a new threat emerges in National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) teams up with her cousin, Clark Kent/Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin), to stop it. Kara is thrilled to have family in town but it leaves Alex (Chyler Leigh) feeling a bit left out.

Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl are stunned by the pod that came crashing to Earth.

Elsewhere, in addition to the introduction of Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman, Lynda Carter’s POTUS, Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer and Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Supergirl Season 2 has cast several notable roles that include Dichen Lachman’s Roulette, Metallo, Cat Grant’s pseudo-replacement Snapper Carr, Sharon Leal as Miss Martian and Chris Wood as pod occupant Mon-El. Still is how the Maiden of Might ends up in a musical, or that epic four-way superhero crossover.

Supergirl has plenty more to show on the road to Season 2's October 10 premiere, but check out the first photos and footage below.
