Rascal Flatts became only the third country act to have the number one song on both the Adult Contemporary chart and the Country Singles chart in the same week with two different songs. "What Hurts The Most" was tops in AC while "My Wish" was number one in country. Only Faith Hill and the Dixie Chicks had done it before.

Both songs were from the 5x platinum album Me And My Gang, which also featured the singles "Stand" (#1) and "Me And My Gang" (#6). "What Hurts The Most" also hit #1 on the country chart.
