Join The Fun At The Thunder UP Tour In Lawton, Oklahoma

The Oklahoma City Thunder are getting ready for the first round of the NBA Playoffs! And fans in southwest Oklahoma can join in on the excitement when the Thunder UP Tour stops in Lawton on Thursday, April 16.

The playoffs will begin Sunday, April 19 at the Paycom Center when the Oklahoma City Thunder play the first round against either the Trail Blazers, Suns, Warriors or Clippers. To get Thunder fans ready for the playoffs, the Thunder is hosting multiple events leading up to game one, and one of those events will take place here in Lawton!

The Thunder UP Tour only has two stops in Oklahoma scheduled the week before the playoffs begin, and the first one is in Lawton.

The first stop on the Thunder UP Tour will be on Thursday, April 16 at Lee West Park on 67th Street in Lawton. This is where Lawton's Thunder basketball court is located, and a brand-new playground that's Thunder themed.

The mobile fan experience will take place from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the park. The stop will feature the OG&E Thunder Bolt trailer, free t-shirts, music, photo opportunities, Thunder entertainers and merchandise.

The Thunder UP Tour will also make a stop in Tulsa on Saturday, April 18.

The Thunder UP Tour made a stop in Lawton last year during the playoffs.

The Oklahoma City Thunder clenched a historic playoffs win last year, and they're looking to do it again this year. During last year's playoffs, the Thunder UP Tour made a stop in Lawton at Lee West Park on April 21.

This year, Lawton residents will get to not only enjoy the same activities from the Thunder, but they'll also get to celebrate the Thunder with a freshly repainted basketball court and new playground!
