Oklahoma City received some exciting news this week when it was announced that the city could be getting a second Trader Joe's. The new location will be at the corner of Rockwell and NW Expressway, southwest of Lake Hefner.

According to OKCTalk.com, Trader Joe's has a second location listed for Oklahoma City at 6920 NW Expressway, which formerly housed a Party City next to a Hobby Lobby. OKCTalk.com also mentioned that Trader Joe's is continuing to scout other areas in Oklahoma for new locations, including Edmond and Norman.

Trader Joe's in Oklahoma City is always busy.

Oklahoma City's current Trader Joes location is at 6409 Avondale Dr in Nichols Hills. The location is always packed, so it's a no brainer that Oklahoma City is finally getting a second location. Locals can only hope that the parking lot will be better than the current location.

But unfortunately, Trader Joe's is not only known for its unique products, but also for having terrible parking lots. It's so well known for limited parking that people have made sketches about the people who design the parking lots.

Unique Things to Do in Oklahoma City

There is no shortage of things to do in OKC. While there are a handful of things everyone knows about--OKC Zoo, Myriad Gardens, Bricktown, etc-- there are even more lesser-known places to experience one-of-a-kind Oklahomaness. Some things cost a little money, others are completely free, but it's all fun for the whole family.
