Trent Harmon is just one Showdown win away from the Hall of Fame, but he'll have to defeat one of the biggest stars in country music if he wants to get there.

The final American Idol champ has made easy work of four competitors in a row, and will face off with superstar Tim McGraw today and over the weekend in what will be the last-ever Showdown. The series is being retired to make way for some fresh new ideas that are coming to Taste of Country, and if Harmon's fans turn up for him one more time, he could be our final Showdown champ, just as he was the final Idol. His new single, "There's a Girl," is a sweet country ballad that has stirred his fans to overwhelming support.

Tim McGraw is fresh off what will probably become a career single with "Humble and KInd," but if anything, his new single, "How I'll Always Be," is even stronger. McGraw has grown over the years into the most quietly confident artist in country music, and his low-key delivery does not get in the way of letting the song's obvious qualities speak for themselves. But can he get past Harmon?

Listen to clips of both Harmon’s and McGraw's songs and vote for your favorite here. You can vote once every hour until this Showdown ends on Monday at 8AM ET, so come back and vote often to be sure your artist wins. The winner of this matchup will be the final Showdown champion.

Showdown Rules: The song with the most votes wins, and the winner goes on to face a new challenger in the next Showdown. Vote as much as once per hour online. If a song wins five Showdowns in a row, it will be retired into the Taste of Country Showdown Hall of Fame to allow for new songs to compete. Some songs will be considered for a second Showdown if voter turnout is healthy in a losing effort.
